PagePath - A KindredView App

Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

The short version

PagePath stores all of your reading data locally on your device. We do not collect personal information. We do not have servers storing your book list. We cannot see what you've read, and we don't want to.

Data Storage

All data you enter into PagePath - book titles, authors, page counts, dates, reading streaks, and statistics - is stored exclusively on your device using local storage.

None of this data is transmitted to external servers. We do not operate any servers that receive or store your reading information. When you delete the app, all data is permanently removed from your device.

Device Permissions

PagePath may request the following permissions, each only when you actively trigger the relevant feature:

Camera

Used only for scanning ISBN barcodes, and only when you tap the scan button. No images are stored or transmitted.

Photo Library

Used only when you choose to upload a custom book cover photo. The image is stored locally on your device only, not uploaded anywhere.

Notifications

Reserved for future local reading reminders. These are generated on-device and do not involve any external service. This feature is not yet live.

Third-Party Services

PagePath uses the following external services:

Google Books API

This API is contacted only when you use the ISBN scanner feature. The request includes the ISBN number and your device's IP address. No other personal data is included. See Google's privacy policy.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to process in-app purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and purchase transaction data from Apple or Google. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or personal information. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Supabase

We use Supabase to store referral link data. When you share or use a referral link, an anonymous referral code and timestamp are stored on Supabase servers. No personal information is collected. See Supabase's privacy policy.

We use no advertising SDKs, analytics tools, crash reporting services, or social media SDKs.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. There is no data to share - your reading history never reaches our systems in the first place.

Your Data, Your Control

  • Export your full reading history as a CSV file at any time from within the app.
  • Import a CSV to restore a previous backup, or import your Goodreads library to pick up right where you left off.
  • Delete individual entries or your entire reading history from within the app.
  • Uninstalling the app permanently removes all PagePath data from your device.

Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will delete any data associated with your account from our servers (RevenueCat, Supabase) within 30 days.

Data stored locally on your device can be deleted at any time from within the app, or by uninstalling PagePath.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. You also have the right to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

Children's Privacy

PagePath does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data leaves the device, the app presents no data privacy risk for younger users.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change what data PagePath collects or how it's handled, we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the app's release notes. We will never reduce your privacy protections without a clear notification.
