Terms of Service

1. Agreement
By downloading or using PagePath, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
PagePath is a privacy-first reading tracker. Your books, notes, reading sessions, and all personal data are stored locally on your device. No account is required.
3. Purchases
PagePath offers a one-time lifetime purchase ("Pro") that unlocks additional features. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges. Pro is non-transferable. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. Regional pricing may vary.
4. Free Tier
The free version of PagePath allows up to 25 books. All core features are available. Pro removes this limit and adds additional features as described in the App.
5. Your Data
All data is stored locally on your device. PagePath does not collect, transmit, or store personal data on external servers. The referral system uses anonymous sessions with no personal information linked. Book searches use third-party APIs (Google Books, Open Library) to find metadata. No personal data is shared with these services.
6. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for backing up your data via CSV export. You are responsible for any content you add to the App. Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose.
7. Intellectual Property
PagePath, its design, code, and branding are the property of KindredView. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App.
8. Disclaimers
PagePath is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of book metadata from third-party sources. We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, app deletion, or OS updates. Use CSV export to back up your library.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KindredView shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the App or our website.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Germany.
