Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 25, 2026
The Short Version
PagePath stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data. No account is required to use the app.
What Data Is Stored
Your books, notes, reading sessions, ratings, tags, shelves, reading goals, and settings are all stored locally on your device using an on-device database. This data never leaves your phone unless you choose to export it as a CSV file.
External Connections
PagePath makes limited external connections for specific features. None of these involve your personal reading data.
- Google Books API: Used to look up book details and covers when you scan an ISBN or search for a title. Only the ISBN or search term is sent.
- Open Library: Used as a fallback for book metadata. Only the search term is sent.
- RevenueCat: Used for purchase verification. Handles Pro purchases and restore functionality. No reading data is shared.
- Supabase: Used only for the referral system. Anonymous sessions are created with no personal information linked. No reading data is transmitted.
Book Covers
Cover images found via Google Books or Open Library are downloaded and stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded or shared with any service.
Import and Export
CSV import and export are fully local. Imported files are read on your device. Exported files are saved to your device. No data passes through our servers at any point.
Analytics and Tracking
PagePath does not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, or user tracking of any kind. We do not know who you are, what you read, or how you use the app.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored on your device, deleting the app removes all your data. There is nothing to delete on our side because we do not have your data.
Children
PagePath does not collect data from anyone, including children. Since no personal data is collected, there is no special risk for younger users.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.
